She never had a ton of money working a very ‘salt of the earth’ type job, but absolutely always wanted to treat us to someplace ‘fast food’ when we spent time with her. It was her way with spoiling us with something we didn’t eat much of as a kid. So I can recall times of snagging Burger King with her and then taking it to a park so after we are the deliciousness of a Whopper Junior and fries me and my bro could run off and play off all that fried goodness. Still one of my favorite memories and I remember it on the rare occasion I get Burger King, and smile.
